Sky Maps and simulation programs
The following links are to sites that provide 'Sky Maps', which can normally be programmed to match your particular location, and also sites which have simulation programs that show other astronomical bodies as seen from the earth or space.
Some of the Sky Map sites can be used directly 'on-screen', whilst on-line - others require the program to be downloaded to your computer, or from a disc. Some are free, others require payment for the software.

Interesting site for those searching for satellites and other 'objects in the sky'.
• Homeplanet
A Sky mapping program from Switzerland. Go to their site and search for 'Homeplanet' - links for downloading + instructions will be found on the appropriate page.
• SkyMap
Site dealing with all details of SkyMap - one of the most comprehensive mapping programs available. The program is availabe in various versions and numerous 'upgrades' are provided. Not free, but extremely powerful

Direct link to the
Sky & Telescope interactive sky map and viewing almanac. You can
enter your own longitude and latitude coordinates, for a personalised
site. Also shows any visible passes of the International Space Station.
